Letters: Terry Arthur (book review)

I read with great interest the letters page of the April 2008 issue of The Actuary, in particular Philip Booth’s letter on Peter Tompkins’ review of my book.

I wrote to Peter on 17 March to express my surprise at his outburst, particularly in the light of our relationship over the years and the fact that we had begun a private correspondence on the matter.

Whilst much of my letter was private, readers may be interested to know that I invited him to back up his claims that my book says that (i) I don’t believe the man-made global warming theory and (ii) that I believe it (global warming) is caused by cosmic rays. Both these claims rank as Misleading Crap!

I have not received a reply.
