Actuaries’ croquet tournament

The 8th annual actuaries’ association croquet tournament will be held on Sunday 20 August at Surbiton Croquet Club. Reigning champion Chris Coote will be trying to retain the Generali Salver which he won last year. The tournament will be played using a handicapping system so players of any standard can compete.

Editor’s note: This announcement reached us at about the same time as photos of John Prescott playing croquet at Dorneywood were outraging the nation’s sensibilities! We hope to see a much increased level of participation in the 2006 tournament as a result!
