Actuary wins gold medal

A few eagle-eyed readers spotted that Anette Norberg, 39-year old mother and captain of the gold medal-winning Swedish women’s curling team at the Winter Olympics, gave her occupation as actuary. Anette seems to be quite a character, as the Swedish team had previously paired up with heavy metal band Hammerfall to make a rock video for the song ‘Hearts on Fire’ – at least one photo of the team in rock costume is out there on the internet. So is Anette the first Olympic gold medallist actuary? We think so, but suspect readers may know better!
